There are nine streets in the Lower Garden District that are named after the Muses of Greek mythology - the inspirational goddesses of the arts. 

An homage to both the classical and contemporary, the Muses honor New Orleans and the creative culture she continues to inspire.

In considering New Orleans as a muse, the qualities of each of the nine muses take on new meaning in this contemporary context. The muses amplify each others' voices and create a powerful collective of inspiration and guidance.
